Hello connections! We are looking for a Senior Legal Coordinator for Gaming.

Below are the details:

  • Provides support to the Chief Legal and Compliance, such as but no limited to, preparation and collation of documents and other requirements that need to be submitted with other companies or government agencies more specifically with PAGCOR.
  • Encodes, updates and maintains the information in the database of the Legal and Compliance Department pertaining to documents, licenses, permits, certificates etc. of all the gaming companies relating to PAGCOR compliances.
  • Maintains and keeps safe and in order all hard copies of licenses, accreditations, notices, correspondences issued by PAGCOR.
  • Do research work relating to gaming regulations, documentation, requirements of government agencies we deal with or any matter or issue that needs to be addressed by the department.
  • Liaises, coordinates transacts and build good relationships with the different departments of PAGCOR.
  • Knows and learns the processes in securing licenses, permits, certificates and other documents from PAGCOR.
  • Process and prepare transmittal or checklists for PAGCOR-related documents requested by other departments.
  • Process and prepare PAGCOR-related requests of the Legal and Compliance Department from other departments.
  • Other tasks that may be assigned by the Legal Manager from time to time.

Job Requirements:

  • Graduate of any 4-year course, but LLB is a plus.
  • With at least 5 years of experience working in a law firm or legal department of a corporation.
  • Can work independently or with a team.
  • Has experience liaising, coordinating and dealing with SEC, BIR, BSP, AMLC, HLURB/HSAC, PAGCOR, IPO, NPC, LGU, NLRC, etc.
  • Can draft simple letters and documents.
  • Can do research work.
  • Willing to do fieldwork.
  • Willing to work in Muntinlupa and/or BGC

Job Scope:

  • Taking responsibility for the planning and execution of financial duties and projects of a company.
  • Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
  • To be responsible for the preparation of current financial reports and forecasts for future business growth including budgets, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns and reports for Government regulatory agencies and financial management reports. (month-end and year-end closing).
  • Managing and monitoring metrics, procedure execution, KPI tracking, and reports for the financial department.
  • Managing the risks involved in the financial activities of the business.
  • Participate in regular tax audits and payroll checking.
  • Supervise and provide training to staff members regarding financial processes.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as requested by the Management.

Job Requirements:

  1. Proven work experience as an Accounting Supervisor.
  2. BS degree in Accounting or Finance.
  3. Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas).
  4. Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations.
  5. Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data.
  6. Attention to detail and accuracy.
  7. Team management skills.
  8. Ability to prioritize work and can do multi-tasking.
  9. With payroll making & checking experience.
  10. With BIR/SEC/PAGCOR knowledge and BIR audit experience.
  11. Communication in English is a must.
  12. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Here are the details:

  • Reviews/drafts legal documents (e.g. contracts, agreements, legal opinions) and/or validate such legal documents.
  • Clears legal documents for printing and dispatch; and handles cases and legal problems.
  • Formulate case theory for litigation for or against the company
  • Liaise with government judicial and administrative bodies.
  • Liaises and coordinate with other departments, external counsels, other corporations, and/or government agencies.
  • Supervises, checks, proofreads, and audits tasks and outputs of paralegals.
  • Assists in conducting legal and factual research on assigned cases and/or special projects.
  • Ensures the timely review of Legal Request Form.
  • Keep Chief Legal and Compliance Officer updated and abreast of all assigned contracts, cases, and special projects for handling.
  • Proper supervision of paralegals and/or other employees under his/her supervision.
  • Capability to communicate clearly and confidently to all employees regardless of level.
  • Other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by CLCO.

Job Requirements:

  • A member of the Philippine Bar
  • 3-5 years of experience in a law firm or as in house counsel; with – experience in gaming is a plus
  • Keen to details
  • Amenable to work in Alabang and/or BGC
